Comprising granular and expandable bentonite, the Tremco 1/2 in. x 1 in. x 20 ft. Superstop waterstop is a substance made of several elements
As the name suggests, the waterstop is employed in halting the water flow from any desired joint. One edge of this sealant is layered with an adhesive that is sensitive to pressure. Being versatile, this Tremco waterstop serves numerous purposes. To begin with, the most common usage of this sealant is to plug weak joints in the concrete that emerged due to the delay in concreting processes. The below-grade construction joints deliberately established to facilitate the structure are also sealed with this waterstop to deter water migration. From a weak cold joint to two adjoining impenetrable surfaces, this sealant prevents the entry of water from any seam.
Superstop is used for sealing cold joints in concrete and to prevent water migration through construction joints below grade. Properly installed under compaction, superstop will stop the passage of water through a static cold joint or between two abutting impermeable surfaces. Superstop is also available in saltwater grade for use in approved brackish water conditions.
