DOWSIL 899 Silicone Glazing Sealant is a fast-cure silicone sealant for primary bedding and backbedding projects

Formerly: Dow Corning 899

DOWSIL 899 Silicone Glazing Sealant can be applied in a continuous operation using positive pressure adequate to properly fill and seal the joint. It provides adhesion to Glass, Heat Strengthened Glass, Low E Coated Glass, Paint, Aluminum, Plastic, Vinyl/PVC-U, and Wood.

DOWSIL 899 Silicone Glazing Sealant performs a variety of glazing, sealing and weatherproofing jobs where fast cure and good adhesion to many building properties are required, including primary bedding compound for glass in wood, vinyl and aluminum window sash, as well as a backbedding sealant for windows and doors.

DOWSIL 899 Silicone Glazing Sealant is not intended for use as a structural glazing sealant, in totally confined spaces where sealant cannot cure because of lack of atmospheric moisture, in areas below grade, on surfaces that will require painting or staining, as insulating glass (IG) sealant, in continuous water immersion, on frost-laden or wet surfaces, and in areas where abrasion and physical abuse are encountered.

DOWSIL 899 Silicone Glazing Sealant may stress crack polycarbonate. This product is neither tested nor represented as suitable for medical or pharmaceutical uses.
