DOWSIL 795 2 GAL
DOWSIL 795 Silicone Building Sealant is a one-part, neutral-cure, adhesive/sealant for new construction and renovation applications. The cured sealant is durable and flexible enough to accommodate 50 percent movement of original joint dimension when installed in a properly designed weather seal joint. In a properly designed structurally glazed joint, the sealant is strong enough to support glass and other panel materials under high wind load. Applications Structural and nonstructural glazing Structural attachment of many panel systems Panel stiffener applications Weather sealing of most common construction materials including glass, aluminum, steel, painted metal, EIFS, granite and other stone, concrete, brick and plastics Features & Benefits Suitable for most new construction and remedial sealing applications Versatile high performance structural glazing and weather sealing from a single product Available in 13 standard colors; custom colors also available Excellent weatherability virtually unaffected by sunlight, rain, snow, ozone and temperature extremes of - 40F (-40C) to 300F (149C) Excellent unprimed adhesion to a wide variety of construction materials and building components, including anodized, alodined, most coated and many Kynar1 -painted aluminums Ease of use all-temperature gunnability, easy tooling and lowodor cure byproduct Meets global standards (Americas, Asia and Europe) Provides Adhesion To: Alodine Aluminim Aluminum Anodized Aluminim Brickwork Ceramic Concrete Enamelled & Reflective Glass Extruded Mill Finish Fluorocarbon Coated Aluminum Glass Granite Heat Strengthened Glass Light-Weight Stone Panels Limestone Low E Coated Glass Marble Masonry Metal Metal Panels Paint Plastic Polyester Poweder Coated Aluminum/Steel Silicone Stainless Steel Stone Vinyl/PVC-U Wood Proven Performance That Cant Be Beat It cures upon exposure to atmospheric moisture to produce a durable, flexible seal. For structural and nonstructural glazing as well as general weathersealing applications, DOWSIL 795 Silicone Building Sealant cant be beat. Strong enough to support glass and other panel materials under high windload and flexible enough to accommodate thermal movement The standard for silicone structural glazing approved for both 2 and 4 sided structural glazing Accommodates movement up to 50% in a properly designed weatherseal joint (25% in a properly designed structural glazing joint) SWRI validation of 50% movement capability Primerless adhesion to most building substrates; compatible with two-part silicone insulating glass seals Ideal for structural and nonstructural glazing of glass, metal and plastic; for adhering stiffeners to building panels, and for adhering DOWSIL 123 Silicone Seal Excellent for general weatherproofing applications, including perimeter sealing of door and window frames Lower staining potential than many silicone sealants A long history of success in use since 1980 The assurance of a 20-year limited weathersealing and structural warranties Backed by DOWSIL, a global silicone technology leader with a reputation for superior technical support and one of the best warranty programs in the business
